The classic, plain olive wood Byzantine Budded Cross is a simple but beautiful cross for any church, prayer room or home. Each end of the wood cross has 3 buds representing the Holy Trinity and the 12 apostles. The Byzantine cross is also called the Budded cross since it represents Aaron's staff that budded and grew almonds as a sign of his election by God to the priesthood (Numbers 17:8). The edges of the olive wood cross are beveled and the back is stamped with the 14 Stations of the Cross. The Byzantine Budded Cross is a handmade Jerusalem olive wood carving from the Holy Land.
